Thanks for all your help, had to send the little un to aunties for the week, is there anything else i can do before i hit the yellow pages.

yep the little black box is behind the pump, when i pressed it, it didnt move at all so i took that to mean it doesnt reset.

tried all of the above, still goes through the motions and after about 10 seconds of trying to ignite( you can here the clicks) the flame failure ligth comes on.

anyone know where the above reset button is located?

How do i reset this? If so what do i have to look for?

are they easy to replace or do i need to get someone out to do it. and are they cheap

I have also taken the front cover off and notcied that there are 2 lights that come on when it is switched on, 1 is yellow the other green, is this right?
