hmmmm....
Exactly what faults are all these inspections exposing?
None of my acquaintances have ever had a fault reported from an inspection. Whenever faults have occurred they have all been failsafe - the boiler has stopped working ( I am only talking balanced...
Thanks for the suggestions
I could not find a summat, but used an old thingy to move the cistern away from the wall. To my surprise (it is a close coupled toilet) there was enough play to make the lid fit ok
Thanks again
I belong to the 'if it isn't broken don't fix it' school. Annual professional inspections or other preventative maintenance measures are not part of my life. However I am always on the alert for any evidence of malfunctioning appliances.

Any ideas how to do this (and what tools to use) to minimise chance of damaging or chipping the surface finish
Thanks for interest

Part of my garden is on a steep slope ( 1 in 3). I have been advised to use netting to prevent slippage.
Where can I get info on how to do this and where to buy net and 'nails'?

I think you should fit fan or uprate existing fan so that mould does not occur.
I am considering installing sliding wardrobe doors - 4 doors of 30 ins by 60 ins.
As these are for an elderly neighbour it is essential costs are kept to minimum. What material and what thickness should I use?
