Mixing valves are a pain in the nuts. You can get a thermostatic bar shower for £60. You could get around your current probs by putting a pressure reducing valve on the cold feed to the shower, but thats as much as a hassle as fitting a better shower

If i remember correctly everything is on the right hand side with the 100xr, which isnt a problem as long as you have the space to move it over 5-6 inches to the left. Also your current shower would have to be tiled behind. Im pretty sure they only do the 100xr in 9.5kw and 10.5.kw. Looking...

Did you pay for the spares? Most of the time an old shower isnt worth fixing anyway. You can get a Newteam, Bristin, Galaxy for around the £60 mark anyway. Plus for installers its not worth the hassle. We fix a part and if something else goes on it in the next 12months the customer blames...

Is it a John Guest Speed fit system? If so give them a call, they do surveys, commissioning etc all for free. If you have any problems its best to sort them now before the screed goes in.

Kitchen fitters arent plumbers, so check the flexi on the tap isnt tied in knots. Some people think flexis are magic and can allow water to pass through kinks an all.

All these modern stylish ones have a different hanging system now. They have cupped shaped bracket that holds the radiator along the bottom and top bar, thus the fixing bars on the back wouldnt be necessary Edit: Looking at the photo that wouldnt be possible with this rad anyway. My bad :oops:
