Spark, my hubby will check the wiring tomorrow as its dark tonight. The car is a J reg Ford Fiesta. 1.1. he says what should the voltage be. Tks for your help its really appreciated. CH - will check the fuses tomorrow also. Many thanks.

Spark, my husband says there are no loose wires and the voltage going across the battery is 12.2 its the same when the engine is running or not. Were thinking that although it is a new altenator it must be a faulty one. Wots your opinion. Ts

yesterday when my husband was trying to fix it, and couldnt, the light was staying on, faintly, but then it completely went out and doesnt even come on when the car starts up so he thinks the bulb has blown.
