    No. when I flick the downstairs sockets off on the main house consumer unit, the power to the shed is killed. Its definitely wired into the main house consumer unit

    Thats where I connected the armoured cable in my outhouse to the consumer unit. An electrician was present to view this much in my plan before I did any of it

    The shot in the shed with the white junction box is wired as follows. White cable coming out is to a six socket extension, one grey cable going to shed light, the other going to the shed light switch. The short grey cable is obviously feeding power from the aged fused unit I have in the shed

    Thank you. Yes there is an RCD in the main consumer unit in the kitchen. I will get some photos soon. How many sockets can I wire up to the 16A MCB? Do they need to be in a ring?

    Its something I would like to have. The armoured cable runs from my kitchen to the shed. An electrician fitted an extractor fan for us and over time this was not used. So I ran cable through the wall into a small junction box and changed to armoured cable to get to the shed.
