Sorry as per the thread above the thermostat side. Reading the original reply above.
Remove the roomstat from the backplate and you will have a yellow wire (that is in 4 at the moment) left floating, move it to 3 and your done.
Just to bring up a very old thread  as just bought one of these like the OP.
If I am reading this correctly to isolate my thermostat to use the new system Drayton Wiser 1. All I need to do is unscrew the Yellow wire from the terminal 4 and screw into terminal 3 the N terminal?
Really appreciate the time and effort in replies to this thread many thanks all. I have a much better knowledge of the issue now, I did contact one local plumber who advised the possible work around might be to use a wireless controller to get round the lack of hot water off lead.
Appreciate all your help with this, would this be a big job adding a lead to a hot water connection terminal? Or can it be bridged with the other connectors?

My heating only comes on when the hot water is selected on the controller. I have checked the Drayton controller and changed it to pumped and gravity and it makes no difference at all except the boiler fires up on both water and heating is selected on gravity. Where as on pumped it only fires up...
Thanks for the reply. I used one of those electrical tester pens and it went crazy beeping as soon as I touched the connector block and wires going to the lamp.
Not sure if it was 12V as didn't have a multimeter with me at the time. I will look at the wiring when I am at home later it might be...
Thanks for that I noticed that as well I just copied how the original lights were wired up. This was how it was when I opened the cover and it never looks like it was tampered with although could be wrong. Lights are at the link below...
Just taken over a property and found a Stoves cooker hood installed. The cooker hood powers on and the fan works perfectly but the lights don't function. I ordered 2 new replacement holders and they fitted in perfectly with 2 new bulbs. Wired the new lights directly into the hood as per image...
