Door lining for 50mm metal studs

@Wayners Just a question if I really go down the route of building the door lining myself: What would be the sizes rebate for a 610mm door?

Door lining for 50mm metal studs

@Wayners Thank you very much for your advice. I thought there was something ready out there. The smallest depth I could find at Selco is 100mm but that is not even for 610mm width doors, so I think the best option is to build one myself.

Door lining for 50mm metal studs

Cheers @foxhole. I am not plastering as I am using tapered plasterboard, so no need for 80mm.

Door lining for 50mm metal studs

Hi there, I am willing to fit a 610mm door to a toilet. I have built the walls using 50mm metal studs and once I add 12.5mm plasterboard to both sides, my wall thickness will get to 75mm. I am finding it really difficult to find a door lining that has 75mm in depth and can accommodate a 610mm...

Glow Worm 18hxi not turning on after a F14 error

I've got a Glow Worm 18hxi. Initially, after having changed a radiator, it gave me a F14 error. It would raise the temperature on the display up to 70oC and then it would make a noise and stop, showing the F14 error on display. Now the boiler is not even turning on. However, there is power to it...

Kitchen on it's own ring circuit?

I've got an end of terrace house, so I've got 4 circuits: lights upstairs, lights downstairs, sockets upstairs and sockets downstairs. The kitchen sockets (2) are in the same circuit as the downstairs sockets. There is also an independent circuit for the gas cooker/hob and 2 other sockets that...

Real wood floor over bitumen/asphalt floor?

I bought some real wood (oak) to lay over the ground floor of my ex-Council house which was built in the 50's. Like a lot of houses of that age, the ground floor is bitumen/asphalt over a concrete screed. The bitumen is about 15-25 mm thick and, I believe, serves as moisture barrier as well as...

shower pump with 25 gallons cold tank

I took your advice on board. Thank you very much for that. The only problem is that the client's house has a flat roof (no loft) and the 25gal tanks are in the airing cupboard - no extra room for anything else or bigger tank. That's going to be a challenge. If that goes ahead somehow, I'll...

shower pump with 25 gallons cold tank

I need to install a shower pump in a system with a 25 gallons cold tank and another 25 gallons hot tank. I was told that I need to upgrade the cold tank to 50 gallons. However, I saw this Triton T550i pump that seems to work with 25 gallons. The triton pump is a 1.2 bar - link bellow...
