Funnily enough before taking off the TRV I used the 5p trick so i could actually close the feed to the radiator. Anyway when i was loosening the nut on the side with the TRV i knocked the TRV and it popped off and water went everywhere, i've put it back on now and I hope it will be ok through...

I think they probably just forgot to put it on when installing (its old stuff) since none of the other radiators do it and looking at some mistral instructions it does mention a decorators cap. I don't mean to be a pain but do you know where i can pick one up? Google just shows the white caps...

Thanks for your reply! Just watched a quick video on this. So basically remove TRV, place cap on the pin, fully unwind TRV then put it back on?

Hi, I'm just wondering if there is any way to fix the valve so that it turns the radiator fully off. It seems that its maybe one setting too far to the heating setting so when its shown as 'off' its actually on 1. I need to take the radiator off to decorate behind it before putting the new...
