Ait in my hot water system

Thanks for your suggestions. I will try the 28mm feed instead of the 22mm and see /hope that that race tunes the HWC fill to keep up with the power shower. :P

Ait in my hot water system

Thanks, I suppose a horizontal HWC would help by increasing the head. But that is a BIG expense.

Ait in my hot water system

Thanks for your replies. My pump is about 1 foot below the base of the HWC. I don't have any horizontal runs. We have solar panels on the roof and a mixer valve has been incorporated to mix in cold water if the water is too hot going to the shower. ( Although we have a thermostatic mixer...

Ait in my hot water system

I have my hot water cylinder HWC in the loft. We have a power shower and we find we are always getting air in our system and have to purge it out. The shower comes off a surrey flange in the top of the HWC and air is sucked in from the vent. So I assume the HWC is not filling fast enough...

    Glowworm 30cxi pressure drops

Hi, A final message on this topic. Almost two weeks after fitting the new PRV the pressure is remaining stable so normal service has resumed. Thanks to those who replied to this thread and to the contributors of other threads as well. This site is an excellent source of information...

    Glowworm 30cxi pressure drops

Hello, Sorry, I had misread the previous post. I understand now that the issue could be the pipe leading to the expansion vessel and not the expansion vessel itself. I shall keep that in mind should I start experiencing problems agains. The pressure in the expansion vessel is still...

    Glowworm 30cxi pressure drops

Hi, The expansion vessel will be the next part to be replaced if the PRV hasn't done the trick. As I could not determine if the PRV or expansion vessel was the problem I opted for the cheaper part first. And 24 hours in, things are looking better :) Thanks, Mark

    Glowworm 30cxi pressure drops

Hi, Apologies for the dealy. Things have been a bit busy recently. Anyway, I have replaced the PRV today so I shall monitor the situation over the next couple of days and let you know if this has done the trick. Thanks, Mark

    Glowworm 30cxi pressure drops

Hi, Thanks for replying. There is a lot of water coming from the pressure relief pipe and I am now having to repressurise every few hours. I will replace the prv and see if that solves the problem. Thanks for your help, Mark

    Glowworm 30cxi pressure drops

I've taken some more pressure readings from the expansion vessel over the course of the day and the pressure has remained consistent at 1.6 bars over the last three days so I don't feel that is at fault. Is there anything I can check to determine if it's the prv that's the problem? Thanks.

    Glowworm 30cxi pressure drops

Hello, My glowworm 30cxi was fitted back in 2005 and until a couple of weeks ago I have not had any problems with it. However, just before Christmas I decided to bleed my radiators and since then the pressure has started to continually drop. I am having to repressurize by using the refill...
