You need someone who's had experience of these boilers and if I was 100 miles nearer I could replace THE PUMP for you

What is a 'time served' plumber?

Over here there is, you can't trade as a Plumber on the IoM unless you have a trade card, and to get one of those you need the rest

Height of a Wash hand Basin

Well a sink is 900mm high, you could try that and see if it's comfy

Will a standard mono bath tap fit a standard sink?

Sink taps should be high level to comply with water regs

    Air in loft?

    1. Did you just renew the pipework 2. Are the TRV's two-way 3. Are the lockshield valves open 4. If the TRV's are old unidirectional types, have you plumbed it correctly re: flow/return

    Size of Feed/Expansion pipe

Feed is usually 15mm if it's mains, 22mm if it's gravity Expansion is usually 22mm from the cylinder to the tank Primary's are 22mm unless it's solid fuel heating in which case it's 28mm min.

    Water tank overflowing outside house

When you had a new CWST fitted, did you replace the float valve and was the water level set? ...water from the overflow usually points to a knackered diaphragm washer

    Megaflo System Problems

    a. First off there's already a filling loop (correctly disconnected after filling the system) b. Secondly, you don't go faffing about with garden hoses if the install was done correctly c. The pressure is zero, the red finger is just a set point d. You need a G3 qualified Plumber...

    Who is fooling who.

On the plus side the customer has a mostly new system :)

    Toilet flush problem

    1. isolate the water supply to the float valve (or if there isn't one fitted, close the main stop cock) 2. empty the cistern by flushing as best as you can, then finish it off with an aquavac (I use an old Vax) 3. Undo the two nuts under the cistern (if you have a low or high level cistern)...

    ballcock problems

By throttling the main supply, you're not reducing the static pressure, just the flow ...working pressure will reduce though
