sorry to bother you all, just been offered a job at BG as a techincal s&r engineer want to know about the audits(what they look out for) and overtime etc they said theres no cap on overtime its £35k basic (not too happy with that) how much overtime is available thanks

my mate is gas safe reg,he has not removed it for good it was only for testing,all i wanna know is why does it fire without it but not with it what is the flue restrictor for

can some please explain why my mate has removed a flue restrictor now the boiler fires up fine before he removed it the boiler would not fire...also why does the pressure switch have negative and positive venturis i thought it only makes when the fan blows(positive)......also how do venturis...

so where does the fan venturi come into it all?? thanks

thanks bloke, recently got my plumbing nvq level 3,just started my nvq level 2 in gas,so does the fan push the gas onto the burner and push the products of combustion out at same time??

if the boiler fan sucks the gas out of gas valve and blows it onto the burner how do the products of combustion get out of the flue i thought the fan blew them out???
