    Couldn't buy just a head, so had to buy the whole thing. Took the head off and fitted that; now working a treat. Thanks for the fantastic response, most sites you post a question on you're lucky to get 1 response a month. Cheers Mark

    I've been mulling over that and came to the conclusion that was probably at fault. I've rang the merchants for a replacement price. does £59 sound resonable? Never having changed one I have no idea of price. Thanks for the fantastic response, Mark.

    Thanks for replying so quickly. Can I assume then that the motorised valve may be U/S even though the boiler and pump don't kick in? Does the valve control the pump/ boiler? Mark.
