Yes I agree. I have an account with a local small firm who aren't too bad but will sneak prices up if they can. I lost my one with Jewson as the plant hire manager took liberties too many times and I refused to pay all the bill.

It's been a long time since I bought from TP but I'd like a quote as this is for a big job. These days your account and prices are online. But the prices are terrible. So does anyone know if the online account price takes into account your trade discount?

Well I got a price for liquid. It was about £2k pumped. Price for sand ( I assume 3 to 1 mix?) from another company was about £400 Tamp it yourself. I used the pump people for the foundations and it didn't go very well so I'm a bit dubious hence why I was wondering about doing it in smaller...

That is a shock. I think a policy with them bought seperatly from a dealer costs£1000 a year unless I read it wrong. I saw a dealer today using a company called warranties 2000. They have a high trust pilot score and it's a little over £100 a year.

I just heard back from a company in Devon. It might be innocent but all the photos of Their different cars are all parked outside different houses. I would have thought they'd all be in on the same lot.

Does that include an AA warranty bought from the dealer?

I had a look at auto trader's explanation page. They say you get plenty of time and you're covered by the 2015 act. Also they say you have more rights of you don't view it before it's delivered. Then you get the cooling off period. But who knows how true that is.

As car dealers are rare and over priced where I'm living im thinking about buying from a distance. Anyone got any thoughts about having one delivered unseen? It would save time and bother. Auto trader say never buy without seeing the car except from dealers in their site who offer this service...
