    Where to buy builders line?

I think for setting out you don't want it to stretch. For bricklaying you do. The buzz is when you give it as flick and it vibrates.

    Where to buy builders line?

Thanks woody. I don't think green was around when I was in the trade. I think it was just white and the polypropylene.

    Where to buy builders line?

After many years off I need some new building line. But can't see anything online. Screwfix and Toolstation etc just seem to have the coloured stuff available. In my day that stuff didn't stretch. I need the stretchy stuff to get a"buzz line". Anyone know where to get it. Cheers

    Diggers 1.5 vs 3 ton

You mean start at the front, facing the front, working backwards? Thanks. The thanks button isn't on my laptop but it's on the phone.

    Diggers 1.5 vs 3 ton

I agree. Its tricky because I have to enter and leave from the front, theres not enough room to access from the sides or back. And if im not careful i'll rip up the ground I need to stand the digger on. I think my first decision is do I off hire it before the weekend which means another delivery...

    Diggers 1.5 vs 3 ton

I see what you mean it worked a treat on the thinner stuff. This diggers not touching the thick stuff though.

    Diggers 1.5 vs 3 ton

Thought id try bumping this thread again to see if there's anyone who has any tips. I had to get a 1.5tonne in the end for unseen reasons. it went through some 100mm oversight in seconds. But on the foundations there are about 500mm its doing nothing. so anyone got any suggestions?

Pipes and cables running through excavations.

Hello just wondered if anyone knows how building control want electric, water and drains treated when the foundations have been dug and before concrete has been poured. I did have an occasion years ago when I was told to sleeve some cables then just pour around them but is there not more to it...

How to identify the incoming supply

Sorry ,I didn't get an alert. Well, the gas and electric because the meters have to be moved and the gas pipe winds it's way through the new footings. Hopefully the water is ok as it only goes through the front of the foundations.

    Diggers 1.5 vs 3 ton

Thanks. I'm lucky there's room to get down the side of the house for a change. Not that I hire that many diggers.

How to identify the incoming supply

Side extension. Gas is a problem also. Sgn guessed where that pipe was and they weren't as accurate as you'd think. It's been over a week now and still no word when they're coming.

    Diggers 1.5 vs 3 ton

Thanks for that. I think it must be quicker and easier, Not sure how much more they charge for a 3ton but if its quicker it could pay for itself. Cheers
