Thanks for the continued help on this..... There are 6 or 7 'lights' on this circuit. I have only managed to open up the 2 nearest so far and they all looked ok, I will try the others hopefully this evening. Is this still the only thing to check ?

How can I tell what the 'One before that' is ? Oh I am using a decent tester (Which I also tested on another circuit to prove it works).

I am fitting some kitchen worktop and have a straight join to make. I dont want to use a 'joining piece' as i would prefer a smooth join. Is the only way to cut out for the clamps/bolts with a router ? Can you join to pieces together using another method ? Any other advice on this...

Thanks for the reply. These bulbs are popping VERY regular. I have thought about voltage surges - This may be the cause of 2 new irons blowing up in a few months. Is there a way to check this ?

Thanks for the replies. The inlet valve was fully open. I have just closed and opened it and once again bled the radiator. Lots of air came out (as it always seems to). I have left it now with the rad having NO cold parts. All ok, but my guess is when I check it again tomorrow there will be...
