Thank you both for the replies and for clarifying the issues as you see them. Could the cables beneath be boxed/cased in across the full width of the consumer unit so as to conceal them completely? Should that remove even a C3?

Basically what does containment of the cables mean - is it flameproof flexi trunking? Is it a metal housing around the exposed cables ? That’s really what I’m trying to establish … I’ll post another pic from lower down but it’s as explained in the initial description

I did, so it points towards the expansion vessel then. I guess its not unheard of that a new PRV can fail but highly improbable... Ill be back on friday and pick up where I left off. Thank you very much for you time and thoughts thus far
