Ok, so replace 2-way wago with 3-way wago. For, say, the two neutral blue wires coming from inside the wall - one into wago slot 1 and one into wago slot 2 (rather than both of them squeezed into 1 wago slot as is currently the case). And then blue wire from "new" black cable plugged into wago...
That seemed the most logical! So the black cable with the new lamps is 2 metres long - I can just cut it down to the shortest possible length (so that it will fit inside the the lamp housing), and then just plug and play as you say?
Hello all! So I was going to call an electrician in, but I'd really rather learn to do it myself. So hopefully someone will be kindly willing to spend a few minutes helping me out!
I have some wall lights to replace. They are currently linked to a master dimmer switch (3 gang for some other...
@tell80 - that's pretty scathing. Appreciate the info - have saved it for future reference!
1) I saw them bring big rolls in, but whether full or not I certainly couldn't say. I also figured laying the felt lengthways would have meant fewer joins = a good thing, rather than how they laid them...
So the response I got is as follows. Sounds perfectly logical to me?!
"The reason that the lead was not reused was that the chase for this was cut in the middle of a brick, not the mortar course as it should have been and the chase was about some 5-6mm deep and the lead was only held in place...
Thanks all.
Sorry for lack of knowledge of terminology - by "tray", do you mean just around the window frame, or the right-angled runs of lead I see are sold pre-made to butt up against walls/lean-to?
I have asked the question of why the lead flashings weren't re-used as specified/quoted for...
Thanks for the response.
Sorry, yes, there were two sets of leadwork, as you say. I've added another 'before' photo which might show these two layers better.
Again if relevant, when they quoted originally they said that it felt sufficiently solid to suggest the wood below was in perfectly...
Hello all. Had a very old flat roof that needed re-doing, and it was finished today (felt). I had originally been told that the existing lead flashing would be re-used (I think it was in perfectly decent nick), but it hasn't. I did ask before they left, but didn't really follow the response and...
Thanks opps & wgt52!
You are right in that I can select either the floor sensor, the air sensor, or both (not sure how the combo would work in practice, but never mind),
Air sensor - in this case irrelevant, as it is located outside the bathroom, so will measure an irrelevant temperature. (as...
Ha, because then it will be on 100% of the time and will never switch off - the hallway temperature (which is the air temperature it reads), will never get to 25.
Hello all!
So, I have water underfloor heating (UFH) throughout my flat, except a bathroom which has electric UFH (lower profile for a very low ceiling height, in hindsight a big mistake but so be it).
The thermostat for the bathroom is obviously outside the bathroom so the sensor is picking...
