    Lads Can I offer my opinion. The amount of silicone you stuff into the joint does not make the seal any better. Shower seals over movement joints must be flexible (joist/stud wall shrinkage, weight settlement in acrylic baths). Silicones that cannot stretch will split, tear or de-bond...

    bath/shower seals

    Quick suggestion Sealux make a range of seals that meet British Standard Recommendations for sealing movement joints (BS5385). With their systems silicone is not exposed to the shower so there is no messy seal line. You might also consider tanking??

    Applying Silicone sealant

    No matter how you apply silicon, sooner or later (usually sooner) you have to remove it and start all over again. Great for the silicone manufacturers and their retailers Bad for you and your pocket ££££££££££££££££££££

    BAL tanking kits work good over trays and baths.
