have tried hose pipe from cold kitchen to basin , water ran for 45 secs then stopped . just a hunch but as i've not touched anything else could it be a blockage in pipe as cistern had a home made lid and water inside looked less than clean ,, also cistern has always been only half filled...

should i bleed the rad that is in line with rthe taps[as it gets hot even with only hot water switched on] does that make any sense as i have no idea of pipe scematics

as i'm not sure of the pipe setup in flat [it seems to have been altered many time over decades] if i run a hose from kitchen [cold] to basin/bath hot tap approx 4/5 metres would that be the logical coare of action. lovely day so getting soaked to solve problem seems appealing...

how can i remove an air lock after draining whole system.only hot water affected have hose but not 100% sure of procedure. thanks
