Sorry Namsag. Admit i was a little confused earlier. He's doing overtime. He gave up working for himself when he unfortunately became a widdowed dad of two young boys. He was too busy to cope self employed and worked long days plus the evening admin side. Hence his 'drop' to BG. Privates...

So are you saying thats good or bad. As i said in earlier post my friend works for BG. He's earning a lot less than he was when he worked for himself. OK, so he also does a few jobs on the side for cash. He has to keep looking over his shoulder when he does though as its a sackable offence...

Hi undercover Got a friend whos just started working for BG. Service fitting. He says the moneys OK but not brill, and has to work on a rota including some weekends. He also has 'targets' (i think thats around selling??) to meet every month. Plenty of paid overtime and perks like...

I came across the same fault. Even though these boilers have electronic ignition, there is still a pilot light and thermocouple. In this instance it was a faulty thermocouple, and once replaced the boiler was fine. I'd also check and clean the pilot jet at the same time.
