The house is in luton and was built in the 1930's. I moved in a year ago. Don't know if there have been changes to the gully. I poured buckets of water down the gully and the water runs clean. But the smell is still coming through when I use the kitchen sink

The gully serves the kitchen sink, washing machine and bath tub. The ground works around it seem normal and it's a clay gully. I'll try to clean it as suggested.
