Correct hinge to solve this problem?

To be honest, I'm asking for a friend to help him out. Can't say I measured the old machine - I just helped him disconnect it ready for the new one to be installed by the delivery company. I didn't pull the old one out either to check how many pipes are behind.

Correct hinge to solve this problem?

New washing machine installed, which is deeper than the previous one. Now the kitchen cupboard door in the corner next to it doesn't open properly. I think I need an offset hinge but struggling to find one. All I can find are 165 - 170 degree hinges - are these offset hinges?

Replacing laminate flooring - how do I get expansion gap if I leave skirting on wall?

Just to update, in the end I took off all skirting, which I was obviously glad I did in hindsight as made fitting it a breeze. Used a multitool to cut the door frames and architrave and slide the flooring under. Customer decided they wanted new skirting anyway once the floor was done...

Replacing laminate flooring - how do I get expansion gap if I leave skirting on wall?

Yeah I did tilt and click in a couple of bathrooms recently. Took a while to get the hang of but got quicker in the end. I didn't remove skirting on those but left an expansion gap with packers against the skirting, and then filled the gap with sealant. Looked good.

Yep you are absolutely right. To be honest, I haven't fully decided on the laminate yet, so I will give it some thought. Thanks for replying.

Replacing laminate flooring - how do I get expansion gap if I leave skirting on wall?

Excellent, thanks. Seems to be the ideal solution for this and should mean only have to take off skirting on the one wall.

Replacing laminate flooring - how do I get expansion gap if I leave skirting on wall?

Thanks. Yes after I posted I started to think about how to connect them on the last row if skirting is on all walls. I guess, I'm going to have to take off skirting at least one wall to fit them together when I reach the other side. Question is, is there any way of guaranteeing the expansion...

Replacing laminate flooring - how do I get expansion gap if I leave skirting on wall?

Replacing some laminate flooring - there's already laminate down, which I'll take up. Ideally, I'd like to leave skirting on the wall and slide the new laminate under the skirting. But how do I achieve the expansion gap as I won't be able to put a packer against the wall? Ideally, I'd like to...

    Expansion gap for vinyl click

Laying SPC vinyl click 6mm flooring in 2 bathrooms this week. No glue required. The flooring is replacing existing and there are skirting boards already in place around the edge, which I don't really want to remove. Couple of questions: 1. Do I need an expansion gap for vinyl click? Reading...

    Leak from basin waste trap

Seem to have sorted it. Loosened up the nut at the back of the trap, which allowed me to straighten the u bend up enough to get a better seal. Thanks for your help.

    Leak from basin waste trap

Yes there is a rubber seal. But maybe it's old and new one needed?

    Leak from basin waste trap

Fitted a new basin waste and it's driving me mad trying to stop a leak from where the old trap meets the new waste. I've attached a photo. The leak is coming from the underside of the right hand side of the trap nut - I've placed my screwdriver in the position. The trap doesn't sit square to...

Heating valve not opening when calling for heat

Strange things happening with my heating system lately. It’s got 4 separate motorised valves – underfloor heating in new extension, upstairs rads, downstairs rads, hot water cylinder. I assume there is one underlying issue causing these but not sure what the likely cause is and what to check...
