    Either way, the shaddowing is only appearing in the areas where the down lights have had the insulation cut out, suggesting that whatever insulation type has been used it seems to be working? By the way if I’m going to try packing the area with mineral wool can anyone suggest an actual product...

    ‘Alastairreid’, just looked back at your previous post and note your suggestion of second plasterboarding with insulation. prob 50mm. Having seen the pics, is that still your suggestion? Cheers.

    Yes as far as I’m aware, Cellotex? I believe. If not or if badly installed presumably that would mean taking down the ceiling or lifting the roof tiles?

    Hi thanks for reply. Prob fair to say that issue has lessened with better weather. Interesting you mentioned the down lights as there is a second row which I did not photograph and there is more patching along that line but not as bad. Not sure I fully get the comment re moist air from kitchen...

    I understand that I can open up my stuck TVR and tap the pin to release. Problem is I dont know how to get inside the works bit. Its a Myson ii. I have prised off the end cap but can't see how to get any further. Anybody help please?
