Good result but why should we all not approach Hoover as the machine was not fit for purpose.What do you think?

I think we are on the same wavelength.You just have to keep at it.Although it is maddening.I think everyone with this same problem should get together and approuch Hoover and demand them to replace the faulty mother boards.

If your machine was registered when bought and you have receipt then parts are covered free for 5 years. I would remove mother board from machine note connections and spray with WD40 then spray with circuit board cleaner.Take care to let it dry off completely before refitting. :)

I got a good answer from travelman. If you can clean mother board 1st with circuit board cleaner ( you can get this in Maplands). This board is in the door panel easy to get at.Let it dry off before re assembling.Good luck. :D

That was a genuine engineer guy. I have a strong suspicion that this is the same fault with my machine.When I had it apart I cleaned the mother board with circuit board cleaner maybe this is why mine is working? Thanks for your reply.

I took it apart checked drain pump and pipes for blockages none found. There is an item attached to the bottom metal cylinder with a polyestrene block inside, this could be a pressure switch?I also took this apart.I put it all back together and it started working! I gave another guy a way to...

If machine was only used infrequently,it could be as other guy said sticky pump.Do not bye a PCB yet. Try this: 1. Switch on machine 2. Select programme. 3. Hold in reset button 4. Switch off machine,still holding in reset button. 5. Switch machine on again still holding in reset button...

Had same problem machine would not advance to wash programme. Checked programme switch ( worked a few times ) then stopped same fault.Checked programme selector seemed to be ok. New selector £68? Removed rear and checked discharge pump seemed ok.Put it all back together and it started working...

Machine starts. Rinses 1 led on, moves to start washing, 2 leds on, then just does nothing. I checked the programme selector, working OK. Could the pcb be stuffed? Anyone with suggestions! :?: Where can spares be sourced.

Serviced my oil heating system.It was smoking badly. Cleaned boiler, replaced damaged baffel plates,replaced nozzel in burner and cleaned all filters. Fire up burner still smoking. Burner : Riello Mectron 3BM 1986 model. I think I need air adjusted? Any advice on how to do this?
