    WATER FEATURE. HOW 2

Looks great, that is a great idea to use a shower tray. Got a similar project for next year and I have an old shower tray, might put it to use now and save a few quid.

Kurtail weedkiller vs. Mare's tail ... who will win?

Cannot comment of Kurtail but I have had some success with SBK Brushwood killer over the last two years. I have a largish patch of Mares Tail coming up on my front garden, it comes from my neighbour but he aint that bothered about it so last year I tries SBK mixed up in a slightly stronger...

    Use for leftover bricks

I laid the pavers on a lean concrete mix and tapped them down until they were flush with the lawn, there was a bit of digging first to allow space for the concrete bed and to get a straight edge to the lawn but it was fairly straightforward after that. I haunched with concrete up the exposed...

Garden office - damp(?) after persistent rain

I had a similar issue last year with a summerhouse, turned out it was rain splashing off the ground and underneath the base. I dropped a load of gravel to absorb the rain in a strip around the summerhouse and this solved my problem. If i were you I would try to remove that DPC altogether or...

Any products to help trees grow?

I notice you have slate around the one that's not growing well, is there a weed membrane underneath the slate?. Might be blocking nutrients/water getting to the roots.

    Featherboard closed gap

Featherboard fencing needs at least a one inch overlap on the boards, there is a good chance it will look worse when the boards really dry out in the summer.

    Replacing gravel boards/concrete plinths

From recent experience it makes a huge difference getting concrete gravel boards out if they are cracked down the centre, It releases the pressure at either end. I managed to get quite a few out without having to slide them upwards, they just sort of folded in the middle and popped out. I had...

    Hozelock Connector Blowing Off

I had exactly the same issue with a brand new Hozelock reel, the only thing that worked for me was to replace the fittings with a brass set and its not blown off since.

    Rolawn or Turfland Turf

I went for Rolawn Medallion a few years back and have been impressed with it, it looks brilliant at this time of year. Just make sure you put plenty of preparation into the soil the lawn is being laid onto first, i skimped on this originally and now the lawn has a few dips which have had to...

Installing a bamboo barrier to prevent it spreading

I boxed in my quite invasive bamboo with buried concrete gravel boards, i get the odd few creeping shoots go over the top or under the boards but these are easily managable. The canes sprouted up through my patio and lawn before i controlled it.

    what weeds have i got?

It must be a good year for Sycamore seeds, i got the things sprouting up everywhere.....in the lawn, beds, pond, gutters and inbetween the block paving. As said before, just mow the lawn or pull them out if theres not too many.

    what weeds have i got?

Definately Sycamore seeds, i just mow over them or pull them out. They dont need any weedkiller putting on them.

    Block paving ID

Looks like what I have down, Hanson Purbeck if I remember rightly. Presume you`d get them from a Hanson stockist up where you live.
