Ah ok. Sorry my photos don't really show the roof.
It slopes away from that edge. Has a raised lip on 3 edges and a drip edge on the 4th into a gutter. Hopefully that's ok
Hi all
Just built a pressure treated shed - any suggestions for what to protect the wood with to waterproof it ?
I don't want paint or varnish or anything that will flake off and it needs to be clear (ish) to retain the natural colour of the wood
Something oil based maybe ? deck oil ?
And...
So I was very proud of my new shed - for about a week
And then I noticed that gaps were opening up between the shiplap presumably as the wood dried out - my bad for not leaving the wood long enough to dry out before fitting
I installed it with 1.5mm gap but some of the gaps are now 6mm and...
Hi
Just wondering ifs acceptable to route power to my shed along a standard cable routed in metal conduit fixed to the (very solid) garden wall ?
Could be on its own radial from the CU
Burying the cable would be a nightmare
Thanks
Yeah thats what I'm thinking - but the frame would have to span 2.5 m to get from side to side on the shed - not sure what to make it of ? Too long to use solar rails by themselves - and any wood would need to be reasonably deep
Many some lightweight I beam or T beam if thats even a thing
A good question
I was planning to build some kind of frame above the roof to increase the angle of the panels.
Maybe erdm would be better. This would be better as the slope can be less I think.
That part of the project is a bit fuzzy tbh
Not keen on mounting them directly on the roof as...
HI all - been a while since I posted
Can anyone help re. shed roof construction ?
I'm planning a DIY shed 2.4m x 3m pent roof with polycarbonate sheets as covering and am thinking 2x4 roof rafters across the 2.4m span - 40cm spacing - does this make sense or this overkill ?
I only ask...
Hi all
WB Greenstar 30CDI
Fitted in loft
Unvented cylinder also in loft
The pump on our boiler seems to be continuously running even with water and heat turned off (at programmer) - there's a constant slight vibration from the boiler so I think it must be the pump running - also the temp...
Thanks all - they are victorian solid bricks
Will the above suggestions be strong enough to support a person on the roof - I'll need to go up there to do the flashings
