Many thanks to "Stardanny" and "Gas112" for their kind responses to my problem. Will get local Gas engineer, to do the neccesary maintenance.

Washed evening meal dishes last night, hot water was fine. Went into bathroom, turned on hot tap, only cold water. Went back to kitchen, pilot light was alight, so turned on hot water tap...mmm..no hot water, heater's had ignited, but still no hot water, mind you heaters wer'nt giving much...
