My 5/6 yr old Vokera Linea Max Boiler appears to be back firing on an ad-hoc basis? Does anyone know a potential cause and if it's safe to leave running at the moment?

I've a 5year old Vokera Linea max combination boiler which appears to have started to backfire over the last few weeks or so when the temp began to drop. I can't manage to see it backfire as it's fairly infrequent. Does anyone have any ideas on a likely cause?
