Strange Happening Danfoss FP715 Programmer. Do you have one?

I live in Ely, so we me be on the same part of the grid. It is a bit of a joke round Cambridge. The programmer just locks up and has to be reset by switching off the mains supply. The display goes blank and the heating/water is switched on. You cannot do anything with the timer. Did it with both...

Just got the fiollowing reply regarding suppression. "I can send you a surge suppressor if you forward your postal address. It should be fitted between terminals L and N on the wall plate of the programmer." Hopefully that is the cure.

Strange Happening Danfoss FP715 Programmer. Do you have one?

With me it only happens with rapid power fluctuations (spikes), it doesn't happen during a cut, I have tried to simulate it by flicking the switch on and off, but it is fine. I could switch it off with a hammer, could you enlighten me how to turn it on afterwards. :D

Strange Happening Danfoss FP715 Programmer. Do you have one?

When I say stroppy I just pointed out that I had sent numerous emails and had not got a reply. I wasn't rude, just direct, in the manner that some other people normally correspond. When I got a reply I apologised for what I consider being stroppy and pointed out why. It obviously worked, unlike...

Strange Happening Danfoss FP715 Programmer. Do you have one?

Sent a slightly stroppy email and got this as a reply: If you have had a situation where the heating has remained on with the room thermostat set to minimum setting then either the room thermostat is defective or the motorised valve that the room thermostat is normally wired to is...

Strange Happening Danfoss FP715 Programmer. Do you have one?

Thanks guys, I would never had guessed that you could replace them on the same backplate. I found this: http://www.energycontrols2.fsnet.co.uk/danfoss%20clocks.htm So I will probably go with the Siemens RWB9 - I can pick one up new cheaply.

I did also send them a link to this thread. I have also found other people on the web saying they are getting the problem.

We had a fault that caused this on our timer, also an FP715,and had to have a new timer because it wouldn't reset, we had the same model installed as it was just a quick swap. This does exactly the same thing, but only for like a power blip, not power loss. The problem is that when this happens...
