when I press button on relay module ( receiver for room stat ) ( HC60NG ) when CH is being demanded from CH programmer the actuator clicks - but nothing else does this indicate faulty actuator / microswitch - I have dismantled and all looks good - motor moves smoothly - all connections...

yes, thanks for that. Easier said than done when you have 4 interacting components - two wireless in 3 different rooms - and when you don't know what you are doing - which is why I am here!!!

it's cold here!! Summary: Boiler seems ok - supplies hot water for HW storage cylinder. No response ( from boiler ) to demands for CH 3 way Valve seemed to be sticking so replaced - when I removed old valve it was very stiff - could not move ( with just fingers ) to or beyond...

it has a button when pressed it demands CH from system However - the system only "fires" for a few seconds ( pump/ actuator) then shuts down...

so - only having power to grey if CH & HW off is ok As I discovered - white ( B&W) powers on when stat demands ?

it's a wireless stat "Honeywell Wireless Room Thermostat Y6630D Stat"

as stated before - white ( actually from my actuator it is a black and white wire ) is NOT powered until room stat works..

FOrgive my ignorance - not sure what you mean here. Do you mean in the junction terminal box link orange to grey? grey to neutral? I'm guessing!!

sigh system seems to tire of my meddling and shut itself off after too many button presses!! for a while I had voltage at both grey and orange wires state 1: grey 240, white ( B&W ) 0, orange 0 state 2; grey 170, white 0, orange 240 state 3; short bursts of 240 on white when room...

SO - summary!? Programmer is live, sending HW and CH demans o tank and or room thermostat. room thermostat is sending signal to boiler, valve and motor ( or however the chain of command is ) - thunderbirds are go..... then not! If we assume ( for now ) that actuator, valve and pump are...

ok - Not tested yet - still working through the logic. Neither the valve nor the boiler respond to CH demand I can force system to give me CH ( rads warm until HW storage stat turns off boiler. ) if I move valve lever manually to HW+CH ok - thinking on " out loud! " when CH...
