Roofing underfelt collar I believe RUC stands for. I’m wondering if either this along with the absence of an evaes tray, will I be able to install these later down the line now they haven’t been done? Has anyone had a “decent” outcome without them?

I was told you don’t fit eave support trays on slate roofs as I have an eaves slate. Further to my pitched roof work, I’m having new dakea windows fitted and was told a RUC won’t be needed and he has not had to fit these in previously, has anyone else done work without these and had 0 issues?

Thus far, he has removed the slates and old battens, laid down the Juta Maxi 132 Breather Membrane (1M wide), and installed new battens onto the existing rafters. From my understanding and google search, I don’t think I have a fascia? Please see image attached where you can see my neighbours...

I’ve had some felt put on my roof and it is an old pitched roof that has slates on it. My roofer has insisted that I do not need an eaves tray because of the particular slates, is this correct/has anyone had work completed without installing one?
