Yeah there's parts under the window I can see right through - it really needs repointing as the first step (maybe replacing some of the blown bricks). It frustrates me that the previous owners also bodged this with what looks like cement...
Yeah my house has a slate DPC, but I think this building must have been originally used as a storage shed, or toilet (although we have another extremely small outhouse with a blocked up toilet so perhaps not..) so single skin, no dpc would have sufficed!

Having another quick look I do believe there is a DPM under the concrete within the outbuilding, but I can't see any visible DPC.
So I assume I can float insulation and floor straight onto this? But as the outside level would be higher than where the insulation/floor start maybe I tank the...
I could adjust the paving slightly - perhaps adding a drain along the side of it, but it wont be able to go around the back unless I moved the oil tank away from the wall (this is on a stone slab up against the back wall)

Yes, it is - I can't remember exactly what insulation is up there, but I have been meaning to go and move it a bit as I can see it from the outside so there's obviously not any room that been left for ventilation
Yeah I was worried about that - I think hence why someone mentioned PIR instead of creating a cavity? I'm also so unaware of how cold it could be, like I wouldn't mind needing to heat it a lot but I'm also unsure if it would be unbearable in winter...
