Very interesting to know. 95% of our Houses are shingles. Just thought it was same there too! They stand up well to our harsh winters in northern Canada.

Was an entire re-shingle. This was the only section that looks like this and I was looking for advice on a fix. Didn't realize that that that wasn't universal.
