we are looking at a layer of bricks being displaces by about a cm in relation to the bricks on top or below them.

yes it does. The chimney runs through the loft and on the upstairs floor of the house but removed from the bottom floor

thank you. it's just one corner of the house so there is an 'underbite' a few briks in length on one side of the corner, and an 'overbite' of a few bricks in length on the other side of the corner if that makes sense.

Surely any decent surveyor would move a wheelie bin and have a good look at the foundation!? I know that' joke, but is it something I should be concerned about?

I checked on the searches done by the solicitor at the time, and I could not see any application for building regulations! I know records go back to something like 1990 only though so maybe it was before this. Do you think we should do this before selling or just sell and see what...
