Feet were wrong! Got a new set and put them on in 20 mins......

I have a norfolk showering bath from bathstore and I can't get the cast iron feet on it. They don't seem to fit properly and the bath rests entirely on the foots "edges" which I've been advised is incorrect, there should be a gap. Has anyone else had a similar problem?
