Cheers Woody that's cleared a lot up then, I got a roofer over and he gave me the lead option and nothing more, so I had no idea I could do any of the things you mentioned. I get that it doesn't look brilliant but then it doesn't look too different from 2 doors down which does have real lead...
The problem is it's the same on the other side but with the chimney stack on top so I could have only done that on the gable side. Plus I can imagine that being labour intensive, i.e a similar price to paying to get it covered in real lead by a pro.
If you don't mind me asking why would you say this is a temp fix only? Is it because I didn't use real lead? Just I think this stuff is supposed to last up to 30 years.
