    The problem is it's the same on the other side but with the chimney stack on top so I could have only done that on the gable side. Plus I can imagine that being labour intensive, i.e a similar price to paying to get it covered in real lead by a pro.

    Cheers for the reply man, those were bolt head screws with a washer baked in under the bolt head, granted not 50mm but they still didn't hold it long. I think a strip has more chance of stopping it, just with me not being in the trade I didn't know if it was the done thing or whether a roofer...
