Having terrible trouble fitting feet on my new rolltop bath. The bolts which have been provided seem to be too long, the threads in the base of the bath seem a bit rough and the feet don't seem to sit squarely against the bath. Anyone had similar experiences?, or any advice would be gratefully...

I now have a gas cooker in the kitchen I have renovated and don't really need the cooker switch! Can I simply wire in a double socket instead?
