    Oven Tripping

So I tried warming the oven with a hair dryer, and I thought we had success then it tripped. I put just the fan on and it tripped so I’m thinking it could be something fan related. Probably best just to get someone in I think!

    Oven Tripping

Honestly I wanted to turn as much as I could off in the house so I could get a better idea of the base load of energy consumption. But yes, turned the MCB off not RCD.

It’s the only thing connected. It’s not integrated but it is ‘sealed’ in place - I have inspected as much as I can, can’t see anything worn or damaged.

    Oven Tripping

Hi All, Looking for some guidance… hopefully someone has experienced this and it’s a simple fix? Went on holiday, turned the oven off at the RCD, came back, turned it back on, now it keeps tripping. Any ideas what would cause this? I don’t understand why it would now trip when it’s been off...

    Cellar Sump Pump

There’s an existing sump pump in place, I’ll just be replacing this with the outlet going into a drain.

Loft Insulation - I know it’s been done to death!

What I’m thinking is it will give me a more stable platform to get around the loft space when needed without falling through the floor. Theres only about 3-4ft of clearance and its complex in its shape with a number of valleys ect

    Cellar Sump Pump

Thanks Madrab… It wouldn’t be possible to bypass the extension without serious work. I would say the current set up is adequate although there is no resilience should something fail. It’s more of a question if my idea of a brick built pit will do the job or I should buy an overpriced sump basin

Loft Insulation - I know it’s been done to death!

Hi All, I know this topic has been done to death but I’m looking for a definitive answer there is so much conflicting advice. I want to insulate my loft there is already some insulation in there which I plan to remove but I don’t want to cause myself problems down the line. (Old Victorian...
