Quick update... The builder is visiting Monday and asses the problems (I'm so grateful to you all as I have the knowledge to fight my corner now)... it appears he will get it all sorted and I'll ensure its experienced trades

Apologies I've not replied sooner... Having difficulty charging my phone (will buy a new mobile today) I will get advice from another builder... and I will ask about for recommendations. Please can you give me advice what to look for to ensure the builder knows how to sort out the problem...

I hope I've got this completely wrong.... I've been re-reading all your replies and noticed area on my pic's ... Is there bricks missing on the internal wall under lintel ? ( I'm sure it is where they knocked out the original concrete window seal covered with white plastic) I attached pic...

Wow what a difference how neat your venting is up to how the builder left mine ! Thanks again for your advice. Mine is 150mm I assume a reducer can be used ie. to a 100mm.... is that the lowest it can be reduced by ? or can you use smaller pipes if space is limited ?

Insulation.... How do you put in insulation ie. where the door was bricked up ? Toothing the bricks - Will the window need to be removed ?

I'm taken back how much everyone is helping me on here... I feel stupid saying I had no idea the standard of work is so appalling..... I assumed I had reputable builders from an advertised website who is supposed to have vetted them ! Thankfully you've all opened my eyes wth all your knowledge...
