its 70 years old the joists that are rotten abutted the concrete floor i plan to run joists thro the now dug out concrete floor and attach them to the old joists that are ok except for the last foot

what is the best way to join joists together the last 2 feet of the joists are rotten due to a failed concrete floor I have dug out the damp and now intend to put in joists, the old joists on adjoining walls are rotten
