Yeah, hot taps are HOT. Thanks to Maxsys's suggestion I emailed Pegler. To their credit they emailed me a manual straight back and it appears I was just being too much of a wimp with the handle. Once removing the screw it is meant to come off. I'll just have to give it a proper pull!

Hi all, Am struggling to work out how to make my shower hotter. The entire mechanism is hidden apart from the temperature dial. But when it's on "full", it's only really lukewarm. And with the winter setting in and the cold element of the mix bound to get colder, it's only going to get worse...
