when when you say link out the tamper hood do you mean disconnect as ive not really got a clue when it comes to alarms

i tried with the battery out and the mains of the alarm went of but when put battery back in and turned mains on i pressed the number on to cancell the alarm and again frozen out the key pad just wont do anythink

how do i do that sparkymarka as i cant get anything out of the keypad . its like its locked out frozen if that makes sence
