    just as a point although my wires are covered in the metal shrouding the end from the neighbours side and the tails where the join is are easily visable to show where the cables run.

    I spoke to the electric people today. the quoted him just over £800 to make the supply an underground one. My supply would have been free but he told me it was just over £800 so basically he wanted me to pay for his electric to be changed.

    they didnt want the wires across the wall. Any house I have had that had overhead cables and roughcast has always had the wires encased in a metal cover was that wrong? will the render cause any problems to the wires without the cover as I dont want a fire?
