Oh - i can't remember seeing any sort of button - only the gas control valve, the thermostat and the igniter button (which is black). I actually think it's a Flamingo 40, not a Flamingo 4. Do they all have these overheat stat buttons on them?

Many thanks for that. I've managed to get hold of instructions for the boiler so will attempt to reignite it in due course. In the meantime, thanks for the reassurance. With a bit of luck I won't return to my flat only to find a pile of rubble waiting for me!

Hi, My hot water ran out much faster than usual this morning, and when i had a look at the boiler the pilot light wasn't on. The problem is, I don't know if it is supposed to be on all the time or not (excuse my ignorance if that's a really stupid thing to say!) On the front of the boiler...
