Surely if it were the motor brushes the drum wouldn't turn at all?

We've tried the same thing empty and it still does it. It begins the spin cycle then pauses and just stops with the indicator light highlighting that it's at the spin stage. We then have to turn the machine off and put it on the fast wash (which works ok) to get it to spin and finish.

When I try to run a normal length cycle it Cuts out during spin and that's it. Any suggestions? N
