    One other thing and yes I think this is stupid too, a pot is a terminal and is not used in the height calc , but a peice of stainless is a flue and therfore if it has the correct cross sectional area as your exsisting chimney would count , the stainless would have to be twin wall insulated

    When ever you enter a boiler there is an whole raft of knowlage and saftey checks that youneed, to be able to check if a gas appliance is working properly . Gas engineers are retested every 5 years to make sure they are competent to do there job .

    Im sorry to hear of your problems , im hetas reg and do belive you should complain and also ring building regs as the minimum length for a flue sor wood or solid fuel is 4.5 meters anf yours sounds short to me so get it checked has could be dangerous.
