Masking tape is fine, but i've never yet found one that gives a good enough seal to avoid bleeding. I just know that I'm going to end up scraping gloss off the tiles and that's what I wanted to avoid! :wink:

Okay, guys, that's what I'll do. Just wanted to avoid the risk of getting any gloss on the very expensive tiles and also, I thought it would look better not to have the gloss running up to the tiles. Thanks for all your help, everyone. :)

Hi Moz, no, it's the screed that he's used to bring the floor up to the level of the tiled area in what was the kitchen 'room'. He's back on Wednesday to tile and he's said he'll be able to get rid of it. I was hoping to get rid of it before then so that I could get a couple of coats of gloss on...
