Pilot lights OK, but appears to "get turned off" a while after the main burner has fired up (seems to be when gas increases to full power). Of course, as a result the main burner immediately shuts down.
This happens every time with CH, and sometimes with HW.
But also, the same pilot shutdown...
The pilot light won't stay alight when I release the gas push button, so I presume what I would call the thermocouple has failed. But looking through the spares listings I can't find "thermocouple"
What do I need ?
"Standby to On" is the top rocker switch, and this fires up the boiler, even with the HW turned off and CH switch set to off.
The red LED on the pcb is on
With Hot Water and Central Heating OFF, the boiler fires up as soon as the switch is moved from Standby to On. So it burns for 30 seconds, the water overheats, and the safety cutout shuts it all down. Is it the pcb or a sensor failure ?
Occurs all the time, whenever power to boiler is on. High pitched tone, getting worse and driving me mad. Possibly a failing bearing on a pump or fan. Easy fix or very expensive ?
