    Front Door Draught Seal

They're are a few sites around like this http://www.ironmongerydirect.co.uk/products/seals_for_doors_and_windows but I fear your going to have a lot of searching to find exactly what you want. Have you considered a secondary seal for the time being, just to keep the draft out until you find...

    upvc Window bent/deformed?

Depending on how it was fitted, and I'll try to be polite, it's not unknown for the fitter to pull the frame in whilst they are fitting it and twist the jamb so it doesn't meet the gasket . If this is the case in the past I have cut out the old silicon, loosened the fixings, packed the...

    Liniar Windows

Sorry it's 1500, just had a look. The building above is 8 m x 8 m and we doubled the size of it this year. Definitely not flimsy

    Liniar Windows

Over a certain size they will be reinforced, I think 1800 mm but definitely less than 2350. Toughened glass weighs no more than normal glass so I don't think you'll have any issues. I build massive buildings using Liniar with no problems what so ever.

Glazing - Getting what i've paid for!

That's a bit harsh seeing as you don't know the spec, orientation, size or anything about this conservatory. Someone has paid a lot of money for it and just wants advice. The glass spec is just about the same. It'll depend on who supplies the glass, as different companies can achieve the same...

Window kit for existing unglazed UPVC door

Easiest would be to swap the panel for one with glass in it. There are lots of options over the internet but you'll need to know the thickness of the panel and the woodgrain design ( it's either Rosewood or Mahogany by the looks of it ) and the overall size to get one that fits.

Eurocell's Modus flush windows vs Liniar's flush

Liniar was designed by the same person that designed the Eurocell system. After he sold his share back to Eurocell the caveat was that he could not produce windows for a certain amount of years. During this time he developed Liniar, creating the most up to date system with lead free plastics...

    Safety stamp on toughened glass?

There should be an EN marking on all safety glass ( used to be BS ). Your local glazier/glass company will probably source the glass from a larger company with a toughing machine or if their big enough use their own, which again will be stamped. Even laminate needs to be marked so if the glass...

Condensation on the frame of new aluminium windows

Have a look through this to get some advice. Biggest misnomer is that windows cause condensation so have a look at what's causing the condensation and see how you can combat it. http://www.ggf.org.uk/publication/condensation_some_causes_some_advice

Reducing size of patio door frame width from 1880 to 1810

The sealed unit you will be putting in will be more important to help with the cold. The glass will take up a big surface area of your patio door so even if you go for the most up to date energy efficient frame you'll still lose heat through the glass. Doors do not have an energy rating but...

    How Wide a Gap

It should be touching it, not squeezing. The pressure that you exert on the gasket transfers to the hinges and breaks them. If there's a draft it could be an number of other things including worn hinges, poor fitting, twisted frame causing it not to touch the gasket or dropped sashes amongst...

double glazing windows. Are these fitters doing right?

Sorry, I can't get my head round this one. I've been in double glazing for nearly 30 years and 20 of them was for Anglian. Never in all my time have I known anyone to put glass in a window like this, it's possible but they'd have to get the right size glass and spacer bars first which means...

Leaking inwards-opening UPVC windows - what to do?

Sorry, I'd disagree on the first one. Although the tape is good you'll only get it to stick on 2 thin bits of the frame and I wouldn't be happy assuring you that it would be secure. I've managed to get taped sealed units out with a chisel, forcing the glass out before. Admittedly they were...
