ok orange is with black on 12 grey with blue on 8 swapped orange & grey actuator click constantly. how can i check new valve

im not that up on connections as there are a lot of connections inside. I believe I put all wires back in same place as before. thanks

ok have checked wiring and found progrmmer off valve sets to w programmer heat on valve to m programmer hw & heat on valve to h orange wire @ 12 white wire @ 9 grey wire @ 8 whats gone wrong

Since changing 3 port valve Sat the heating will not work unless hw is on also. Room stat works. I changed whole valve as old one was old design so did not split. I put all wires back in same places. Whats gone wrong.

I replaced my drayton 3 port valve and since can not run heating and water independently as before. I have to put water on before heating will run. As far as I am aware all wires went back the same. The system has a drayton lp241 programmer older type than on sale now. Any ideas.
