    That makes sense, I guess I will have to cut the vapour barrier to fit between the timber frames, I was trying to cheet with the idea of laying it on the coldside of the insulation. As I dont want to take off all the plasterboard on the inside.

    I have a 1960's built house, timber framed to the front and back on the first floor. There is no insulation in the timber frame section at all, plasterboard on the insider, 4" timbers, a roofing felt barrier and the timber cladding on the outside.
